Mic Crenshaw Record Release

“Independent hip hop artist, emcee, poet, educator, and activist Mic Crenshaw has lived a life. Growing up between Chicago and Minneapolis, he was part of the Minneapolis Baldies as a teen, a group who physically confronted white supremacists especially in the punk and hardcore music scenes. Since moving to Portland in 1992, Crenshaw has continued to critique systems of oppression through hip-hop, served as executive director of the nonprofit Education Without Borders, and co-produced the podcast It Did Happen Here as well as co-authoring its corresponding book. Crenshaw prepares to release his latest solo record with a show at Alberta Street Pub featuring frequent collaborators and fellow activists Black Filipino hip-hop artist Swiggle Mandela, genre-bending musician Shine Runna, old school rapper Libretto, and more.
